Tracey York-Andrews, MCOptom(UK) DipOptom(RSA) DipScV(UK) BTh (USA), is a qualified and registered Optometrist (Ophthalmic Optician). Tracey has been in Optics since 1987. She is passionate about providing excellent eye care with state of the art equipment. Being Independent allows for longer appointment times, to allow patients to feel more relaxed and enjoy the sight test journey. A sight test includes an OPTOMAP 200 degree retinal scan, which is pain free, quick and easy, and gives an incredible 200 degree view of the retina, which is 5 times larger than the 40 degree view achieved in a retinal camera image. OPTOMAP SAVES LIVES & VISION. Tracey also uses a computerised pheropter head, which provides to the exact degree acuracy, in the prescription. Tracey is known for providing a professional and personalised service and is known for saving a the life of a 14 year old girl, through the cutting edge technology used in the practice. Over the years in Ulverston, it has been a true blessing for this team to see patients from across the world, the country as well as all the wonderful locals! It has been heart warming to get the letters of thanks and see the people whose lives and vision were saved, as well as the lives that have been positively impacted through the work that the team have done in the region.

The Spectacle Lounge is a beautiful, comfortable space where you can be pampered and feel at home while the experienced team offer the full package from comprehensive sight tests including state of the art retinal scans to stylising, and quality advice. You are also most welcome to bring in your prescription and enjoy the experience of choosing new specs, whilst enjoying a cup of tea or coffee and relaxing on a comfy sofa.
